The summer season is heralded with events ranging from rubber duck races to free jazz concerts, fine arts shows and classic car parades. Midsummer brings celebrations of fiber arts, Western heritage, classical music and, of course, Independence Day. Festivities through autumn focus on heritage, arts and crafts, big game wildlife, and much more. Family and holidays go hand-in-hand in Estes Park and the community’s annual “Catch the Glow” holiday celebration is a traditional highlight of the season.
JAZZ FEST & ART WALK

The mid-May Estes Park Jazz Fest event is one of the highlights of the spring season – a kind of musical kickoff for the busy summer. It's deliberately planned to be the same weekend as Art Walk, so you can visit galleries, listen to some of the best musical talent in the region, have lunch, visit more galleries, and hear more music. Stop by just to listen briefly while you're out on the Art Walk, or bring your own blanket or lawn chairs and camp out for the afternoon to listen to the music.
SCANDINAVIAN MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL

Scandinavians celebrate the summer solstice, the longest sunlight day of the year with a festival of light, flowers, food and music. Estes Park, Colorado plays host to the largest Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Colorado.
JULY 4 CELEBRATION
Celebrating the Fourth of July in Estes Park means more than spectacular light flashes and the sound of fireworks reverberating from the peaks surrounding this mountain village, although that culmination of events here is known throughout the state as one of the best fireworks displays anywhere.
ROOFTOP RODEO

There’s non-stop, rip-roarin’ cowboy action in store for rodeo fans July 12 through 17 at Estes Park’s annual Rooftop Rodeo, a PRCA sanctioned event and one that has been recognized as the best small rodeo in the nation along with being named the top medium-sized rodeo in the midwest. Nightly professional rodeo performances combine with Mutton Bustin’ competition for the kids, a parade through downtown Estes Park and dance during the annual affair.

As dusk falls, the magic happens! Bands come down the street playing favorite Christmas songs with tiny white twinkly lights reflecting in the bright polished brash. Dancers sway to music. Floats loom from the night, huge and ethereal, with more and more lights that add to the mysteries and magic of Christmas legends and solstice dreams.
